What I like most about this house:

As we explored this magnificent villa, we were struck by how well the modern take on a Spanish Colonial architecture worked, from the rustic wrought iron chandelier in the foyer, to the matching sconces everywhere in the upper two levels, to the rounded corner treatments on the drywall that, though they are a modern touch, emulate the edges so often found on stuccoed adobe. The Spanish theme is pervasive, but not overwhelming as some other homes we have toured. The rooms are good sized but the abode still feels comfortable and homey.

What I like most about this house:

At first we weren’t sure what to expect from this home, but upon entry, elegance and style greeted us in a warm and comfortable home. The central foyer rises above the second level with the tower lights bringing plenty of daylight in. The living spaces are warm and inviting, and open onto an elegantly appointed pool area and then the more rusting back deck and open area at the rear of the property. Up the main stairs to the second level with good-sized bedrooms, the porch off the master suite, and a master suite featuring his and her baths.

What I like most about this house:

This home reminds me of my parents’ home in Felton, it has the look and feel of a mountain home, with the convenience of access to San Jose and Silicon Valley that comes from Almaden Valley living. What I like most about this house:

I like that despite its size, it still feels like a home. It has plenty of features to show off, but does so subtly. The pool area is a relaxing oasis that makes ample use of the views. The use of glass to bring in light and the views makes all the difference. Perhaps a bit quirky, but I took particular delight in the window-box seating area in the downstairs bedroom.
